Donations - We Need Your Help Building the Kigali Public Library!
As we are currently constructing the library, we need contributions to ensure that the work continues. By 2008, the Kigali Public Library campaign received donations and pledges of approximately US$2 million from individuals, businesses and corporations, foundations, governments, and intergovernmental organizations. The library will open in the near future, but an additional $500,000 will be necessary to ensure its long-term sustainability.
We need your financial contribution now!
All donations will receive a written receipt from either the Rotary Club of Kigali-Virunga or the American Friends of the Kigali Public Library (AFKPL). As the AFKPL is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all donations to the AFKPL are tax deductible in the United States.
Depending on the level of donation, some donations will receive particular benefits. For example, donations of US$100 or more will receive an "I Helped Build Kigali Public Library" t-shirt and will be recognized on a special plaque to be mounted in the Conservation/Gorilla special collection of the library.
